Admissions, honestly

We have limited places. Here’s how it actually works.

We’re a small school by design, not by accident.

An open day at Open Learning

The process, step by step.

  1. Tell us about your childA short form or an email. Age, what’s working at their current school, what isn’t. Reply within a week — even if it’s a “watch this space”.
  2. Come and see usA coffee with Charlee and a walk-around. Bring your child — they meet the team and sit in on a session.
  3. A trial day or twoThe child spends a day or two with their would-be group. Both sides decide if it’s a fit.
  4. Returning families firstIn January we confirm re-enrolment. From February onward, we call new families in waitlist order.
  5. You’re inOr you’re on the list, with an honest sense of when a place might open. No silence.
Places are limited. We confirm returning families in January and move through the new-family waitlist from February onward — you’ll always know exactly where you stand.

Before you ask

Questions families ask us.

Do you have a waiting list?
Sometimes. Classes are capped at 10–12, so places are limited. If a year group is full we’ll tell you honestly and add you to the list — and let you know roughly where you stand.
My child needs extra support. Is that a problem?
No — it’s often why families come to us. We were built for children who need a little more time, structure or patience. Tell us about your child and we’ll be honest about whether we can give them what they need.
What does it cost?
Fees are set out in full above, term by term, with no hidden extras. Ask us for a written quote for your child’s year group.
What languages do you teach in?
The school day is bilingual in English and Spanish from the earliest class.
What ages do you take?
The day school runs from age 4 to 18, from Primary through to A-levels.
Can we visit before deciding?
Please do — the best way to understand the school is to sit at the table for a morning. Use the form above to arrange a visit.
How will the school keep in touch with us?
Day-to-day communication runs through Dinantia (our school app) and email, so everything stays in one place. We answer as quickly as we can, depending on the type of question and urgency.
When and how will we hear about our child’s progress?
Your child’s mentor keeps you in the loop through the year, both in person and in writing. Because we’re small, a quick word at pick-up or a message through Dinantia is always welcome too.
Who will be our main point of contact?
Your child’s mentor is your first point of contact and is reachable through Dinantia. Charlee and the rest of the team are close by and easy to reach.
What happens once we say yes?
You’ll receive a welcome pack with the school calendar and the school rules, along with the practical details you need to start. From there, your child’s mentor helps them settle in.
